Budd, A. Renouf
Ada Budd was born A. Renouf in Guatemala in 1949 of Canadian and Colombian parents. She and her brother were raised in San Francisco, California. She began college (pre-med) in Cali, Colombia, but switched her major to marriage and acquired two vital diplomas: a daughter, then a son. In her 40s she graduated from Florida Atlantic University with degrees in English Literature and Nursing. She worked as a public health nurse in Tuberculosis Control, meeting fascinating people and germs of diverse cultures. Now retired, she writes. Throughout her life, she has written short stories and finally at age 70 completed her first novel, Metalskin. She lives in Jupiter, Florida, with her husband, Richard.
