Carnes, Ross
Ross Carnes was born in Dublin, Georgia and grew up while traveling all over the world as an Army/Air Force brat. After a 30 year career as an illustrator, graphic designer and art director, he retired due to crippling arthritis. He still produces artwork, but only for himself, family and friends. (See cover illustration.)
Writing became a new creative outlet. He began with a short story about a fanciful creature that lived in one of the ancient oak trees in his back yard in Central Texas. The “Knockturns” were born, the things that go bump in the night. After another few stories it only seemed logical to explain their origins. This brings us to Whisper of Atlantis. The story deals with several serious subjects, but the main objective of the author is for the reader to enjoy reading, be optimistic and have fun.
