Early in her career, Louise worked in a family practice medical clinic. Day after day, she heard bits and pieces of patient’s lives—fragments that often left her with a yearning to know the end of the story. As a result, when she began writing, she resolved to people her books with believable characters her readers could relate to, ones that would remain in their memories.
Louise and her husband, Gene, live in Kent, Washington. She is the mother of two grown children and has five grand children, and eight great grand children.
She is currently working on a mystery set in Scotland after World War II.
