“Curiosity Kills is a gripping mystery/suspense tale unraveled by reporter Maddie McKenzie. On vacation in Butte, Montana, she stumbles onto information which leads her to believe the abandoned Annabelle Mine is hiding a terrible secret. People who venture too close disappear or are found dead. She suspects the mine is being used to illegally store nuclear waste until Yucca Mountain in Nevada is ready, but she discovers the truth is even worse. Author Linda Roberts’ tale raises the question: How far will the government go in the name of patriotism and national security? Her skillful writing gives us a glimpse into what could happen in the future—or even now.”
