By Dorothy Bodoin
A sound of water haunts the cottage of Gothic novelist Joanna Larne, and a ghostly man who resembles her lost lover appears on the beach.
When Joanna saves the life of a tourist, she finds herself in the middle of an old unsolved murder mystery and a real ghost story.
What They Are Saying About Ghost Across The Water
What I truly enjoy about Dorothy Bodoin’s mysteries is the way she doles out the clues from the very first chapter. Yet, she builds the suspense to the very exciting conclusion. I also appreciated the heroine’s collie, Kinder, being an integral part of the plot, which would appeal to all of us who have pets that are a part of our own families. This book is truly hard to put down.

GHOST ACROSS THE WATER delivers all the romance, mystery, and amazing plot lines that readers have come to expect from a Dorothy Bodoin novel. Joanna is a wonderful heroine—resourceful, independent, generous, and very brave. She simply puts Miss Marple to shame! Certainly no shrinking violet, Joanna sets out to solve both Ned and Angela's mystery—with or without the help of Lieutenant Dalby and even manages to rescue a dognapped Kinder along the way. Dalby is a delicious addition to the story and a pleasant nod to the Fox Glove Corners series. Joanna and Mac's romantic flirtations are great fun and have just the right amount of passion. This is certainly a story with an unexpected ending—as full of twists and turns as any rollercoaster ride. I was literally turning the pages as fast as I could read them! Villains and heroes come in very unexpected packages in this book and Bodoin does an excellent job of developing all the characters. If you are a fan of Ms. Bodoin's previous novels, GHOST ACROSS THE WATER is simply a must have! And, if you are a first-time Bodoin reader, you are in for a special treat! Good work, Dorothy! And, please, please keep them coming. . .
