“Oh what the hell,” she muttered and clicked on the browser. “What can it hurt? If I don’t like what I see tonight I never have to go back.”
The mouse ran smoothly across the mouse pad until the arrow landed on the address window. Pausing for a brief moment Elizabeth sighed in resignation and typed in singlesgroup.com.
Apprehension raced through her and little nagging voices in her head laughed and snickered about how desperate she’d become to stoop to a lonely-hearts service. Curiosity mingled with her uneasiness and Elizabeth soon found herself perusing the website, filling in the blanks on what she was looking for in an ideal mate. She tucked her feet under her and continued to scan through the list, amazed at how many people in New Mexico were also looking for companionship.
