A couple of months ago I had reviewed a book by Andi Pray, Haunting Footsteps. I loved that book from the first word to the very last, so getting the privilege to read another great novel by Andi Pray was a miracle in itself, and I was so excited to read it. I’m not the type of person to start a new series just because I’ve liked another by the same author, but I’m so convinced that I’m in love with Pray’s writing that she could hand me just about anything and I will read it. I can’t say it’s because of her writing style. No, that would just be too banal. It’s the way she develops a story, with so much wisdom and depth. It’s as if I’m sitting down to listen to a story from my grandmother about ‘back in the day’, one of those moments when you just can’t help becoming mesmerized. ‘Til Death Do Us Part is insightful, inspiring, and I loved it.

As I’ve mentioned before, I love that Andi has the power to take such real everyday occurrences and add that touch of faith that seems so small, yet is so colossal to the story. I’m always amazed by my ability to cry while reading scenes that may not even be so sad, but let’s just say I had my fair share of tissues every time I dared to read a chapter. Maggie, the main character, symbolizes the hardships of life in a way I didn’t realize until I looked at it from a figurative stance. She’s built like a rock on the outside—strong, firm, and unmoving—but on the inside her walls couldn’t be any more tumbling down. The wisdom behind this truth startled me, though it’s something we’ve all learned about life in one way or another. I just love that Andi can take it and make it appear so natural in black and white. She makes writing look so easy, and with that, I couldn’t be anymore frank.
